Lumera represents the next evolution of Pastel Network, a cutting-edge Layer 1 blockchain designed to power decentralized infrastructure for Web3, permanent storage, and AI tooling. By transitioning to the Cosmos ecosystem, Lumera achieves unmatched scalability, interoperability, and customizability—paving the way for a more inclusive and powerful network.

As part of this transition, we are inviting dedicated and experienced validators to join our Genesis Validator Set and become foundational contributors to Lumera’s success.

Why Lumera Validators Are Special

Lumera's validators are not just integral to securing the network—they are key contributors to its innovation and service-oriented model. Here’s what sets Lumera’s validators apart:

Multiple Validator Roles: Validators in Lumera can operate in a dual capacity by also running as SuperNodes, providing additional services such as decentralized storage and AI tooling and in turn earning Proof-of-Service (PoSe) fees. This dual-role functionality offers flexibility and increased earning potential through three operational modes:

Note: All SuperNodes are Validators but only earn PoS rewards if they are part of the Active Set, while not all Validators are required to run a SuperNode. This design ensures flexibility & provides operators with additional opportunities to maximize rewards.

Guaranteed Active Set for Genesis Validators: Genesis Validators are assured a position in the active set for at least one-year from Mainnet Launch via Foundation Delegations, ensuring consistent rewards and a pivotal role in network operations. With only 100 active validators, this exclusivity underscores the importance of the Genesis Validator Set.
Rewards Beyond the Active Set: SuperNode-only operators can earn PoSe fees without being part of the active set, enabling broader participation in Lumera’s ecosystem.
Service-Oriented Participation: Validators can deliver advanced services beyond traditional staking, such as supporting Lumera’s AI tools and decentralized storage, which are critical to the network’s infrastructure.
